euroNAS Snapshots are a useful addition to the standard network or tape backup and allows you a very quick backup and recovery of your data.

euroNAS snapshot functionality, enables you to create point-in-time backups of your data at almost no impact on performance and with minimal space requirements.

To meet the business requirements and keep interruptions in the production flow as low as possible, the snapshts are performed usually within few seconds, regardless of volume size or level of activity.

You can make up to 30 snapshots per share (Premium 2010 64-Bit) and schedule their creation.
A quick recovery of data is equally important. euroNAS snapshots are ideal for this purpose

Performance

Snapshot creation and recovery has almost no impact on the system performance.

This is a great advantage compared to the traditional tape backups which require much more time for creating backups and their restoration.

It helps you to minimize the downtime and increase the productivity of your NAS system.

Low space requirements

Snapshots usually consume not more than 20% of the drive capacity.

Quick and easy data recovery

Backups can be easily accessed from an extra snapshot share – this enables you to recover even individual files in case of lost or corrupted data.

Security

Access to the snapshots can be restricted. For example it can be set that only the administrator is allowed to access the snapshot data.

Flexible scheduling

Snapshots can be scheduled to run at certain time or at certain days.

For example, you can schedule snapshots to run every 3 hours or on certain days at specific time.
